THE ROLE
The successful Electrical Designer / Draftsman works in a fast paced environment and is cooperative, consistent, diligent, attentive to details and passionate about his/her work. As an Electrical Designer / Draftsman you will be m
anaging industrial control system panel designs in a rapid- pace environment. You will also be responsible for producing estimates and take-offs based on project teams design requirements including I/O list, Device List, Panel Build Worksheets, and customer’s specifications.

PREREQUISITES
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
  • BS in Engineering or 5 to 10 years experience in control systems design and management.
  • Ability to function in a fast pace environment, communicate effectively and work as part of a team with project managers, project engineers, and support staff. Experience in job cost analysis, budget management, time & schedule management, resource management. Must work within deadlines and have the ability to create and maintain a positive relationship within the department and clients. 
  • Must possess the following: Experienced with AutoCAD software, preferably AutoCAD Electrical 2015. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Experience designing with AC/DC motors, controls, and PLC’s. Familiar with the concepts related to functional safety of machinery. Familiar with UL 508A standards, NEMA ratings, CE requirements.
JOB DUTIES
  • Manage industrial control system panel designs in a rapid pace environment.
  • Develop industrial control system panel designs and produce estimates and take-offs based on project teams design requirements including I/O list, Device List, Panel Build Worksheets, and customer’s specifications.
  • Manage the development of control system project documentation i.e. Panel Layouts, Bills of Materials, Wiring Diagrams, Operation Manuals.
  • Participate as required and facilitate project teams with FAT’s of control panel systems for customers.
  • Develop standards, procedures, and documentation to assure we are leaders in our industry.
  • Develop and maintain project design schedules while keeping project managers aware of status.
